I researched the meanings behind our family names in order to create this piece to protect our unborn child. My married name, Barbe, means 'beard' and my maiden name, MacGillivray, has a clan motto of "Touch Not This Cat". I incorporated lace from our wedding and embedded it with wax cat claws.
